The pantheist’s belief

about the world

The pantheist is a true mono-theist in that she believes that all things that make up this or any universe run on and so emerge from one and the same automatic self-ordering, hence self-regulation and self-organisation rules set. That rules set serves as basic operating system of creation, hence as G.O.D. The henotheist calls the basic operating system of creation rules God.

In the pantheist’s (limited and angled) view, creation, that is to say, the universe and its content, happens as gradual emergence of ever more complex order systems (i.e. niches) and their real identifiable side-affects, such as the human and the human’s particular range of interaction capabilitites.

In simple terms, the process of emergence, i.e. of creation happens gradually and bottom up with G.O.D. operating as bottom or ground order generating function and currently the human as top (complexity) or surface app differentially re-presenting the best, i.e. the most complex order G.O.D. could manage under the circumstances and so far.

Because the pantheist believes that ‘all things’ run on and so emerge (as local applications) from the basic (non-local, unlimited, hence universal) operating system of order complexity generation, i.e. G.O.D.,  she does not differentiate between things at the basic or ground operation level.

PAN, i.e. G.O.D., the basic creation operating system, happens as limited set of rules but with unlimited application potential, meaning application flexibility. Pan, i.e. G.O.D. self-activates as automatic, hence blind ordering operation. The particular qualities of the effects of ITS discrete and ever more complex ordering operation, namely ‘the things of this world’ as identifiable realities, emerge at random and as discrete quanta, hence are communicable, and transient.

Consequently PAN, i.e. G.O.D., as basic and universal ordering function not yet emerged, lacks the qualities of the emergent side-effects of higher order complexity, such as the human. In other words, G.O.D as basic operating system lacks identity and realness, both emerging from transaction between complex systems, hence does not appear as a person. Moreover, G.O.D. lacks human emotions such as love, hate, mercy, anger, joy, compassion, morality, ethics and so on, all of which emerge with increasing complexity of G.O.D.’s, i.e. PAN’s self-manifestations.

PAN, the basic operating system of creation, generates ever more complex emergents by differentially copying itself to create and elaborate ever more complex order niches. These, in turn, if compliant with the basic operating system,23 recursively generate ever more complex order niches, all discrete. 1.     Those who believe in ‘my (chosen) one God, such as Jews, Christians, Sikhs, Muslims, Shivaites, Mahayana Buddhists and so on, are called heno-theists. ‘Heno’ meant ‘one’ (or mono ≈ 1) in ancient Greek. The henotheist believes that only ‘one God exists’, namely the one the henotheist has chosen or claims to have been chosen by. The henotheist’s one selected God, as ruler or regulator, serves to create identifiable distinctions, hence division with regard to other henotheists’ one God, thus creating political clout. He does that by means of self-limitation (or self-constraint), i.e. by subjection to a specific rules regimen, in the process creating and sustaining a particular identity. The pantheist believes that there ‘exists’ (i.e. becomes real through action) one G.O.D., i.e. one basic and open source creation operating system, for all. So the pantheist eliminates distinction, and so division, and louses political clout.

2.     For ‘universe’ (literally: once around the block/view) also read: world, niche, mode, quantum state, environment, template; app; perspective, view, opinion, consciousness state and so on.

3.     And which I shall from time to time call PAN. The unlimited (in flexibility) universal, yet unqualified, i.e. without realness (i.e. being) or identity, creation rules set was called the nirguna the Brahman in the ancient Indian Upanishads. The saguna Brahman emerged with identifiable realness. Pan writ small, i.e. pan, stands for god, hence for the affect-as-quality-as-power of a fractal elaboration (such as a human or a mouse) of the basic creation algorithm G.O.D.

4.     That is to say, deus or theos; or, in ancient India, Brahman (i.e. growth) or Atman (breath), verbally reframed as SELF or self and whose local elaboration operates as selfie.

5.     For ‘limited (i.e. narrow focus) and angled, thus selected, view’, i.e. as consciousness, read: phantasy (or dream), Sanskrit: maya. The pantheist’s (like every human’s) view happens as mental external or internal reality simulation (or mapping) by using easily responded to icons representing both external and internal big (hence unmanageable) data flows.

6.     A universe  (or world as particular niche representation), and all actual worlds happen within the brain as simulations, emerges as a momentary snap shot/still of one’s current state of consciousness, the latter (as awareness, i.e. as warning message) serving to monitor the most significant constituents of a system’s survival status.

7.     Thus evolution via random generation (i.e. mutation) and goal oriented selection (i.e. by Trial by Mortal Combat) of increased order complexity.

8.     Such as love, hate, pity, compassion, jealousy and so on. These emerge with g.o.d./pan i.e. the selfie of the SELF) G.O.D./PAN acts prior to identifiable quality.

9.     The ‘bottom up’ mode of emerging more complex transaction systems (i.e. niches) happens by means of Münchhausen’s) bootstrapping. In other words, the pantheist’s view of emergence/creation happens as the reverse of that of the henotheist.

10.  For ‘ground or bottom up general ordering system’ read: Basic (or universal) Operating System, i.e. a sort of Turing Machine.

11.  In short, the human, and all other identifiable (hardware, i.e. real) ‘things’ serve as ‘skin jobs’, i.e. as surface structures/features that provide (i.e. invite, present as ‘come on’ for contact/copulation with) identity and act as contact points that generate realness (i.e. is’ness moments). In short, all identifiable ‘things in this and all universes’ happen as G.O.D replicants, i.e. as recursive fractal elaborations of one basic ordering rules set (or template), to wit, algorithm. In short, all ‘identifiable real things’ emerge as local G.O.D. apps/niches, hence as g.o.d.s. (or selfies).

12.  And which means that it’s the (simple) G.O.D.’s highly complex real-time local apps (niches as self-modulations) that emerge the qualities of everyday existence (hence of the actual universe). It’s not G.O.D. who experiences love and compassion, hate and jealously, but the human. G.O.D. as simple but maximally flexible basic order generating systems emerges no qualities save by means of ITS localised self-applications. It’s not (my one) God who is ‘great, wise, merciful, gracious, forgiving and so on’ but (some of) God’s creations, with the human currently at the top of the pecking order. The pantheist’s G.O.D. merely serves as basic (hence emergents free) ordering device that makes emergents and their qualities possible. The greatness and wonder of (the pantheist’s) God emerges only gradually from the nano rules set of G.O.D., for instance, like the awesome and wonder inspiring dinosaurs and humans from the ‘insignificant’ extremophile.

13.  Or, as it says in the Bhagavatgita: ‘She sees all with an equal eye.’ In this regard see also Meister Eckhart’s reference to the God ground (German:  Gottesgrund). Likewise Eriugena and Cusanus.

14.  In the Upanishads named the nirguna (no qualities) Brahman. Taoists named PAN ‘the Way’ or ‘Tao’. Pan is now conceived as a Universal Turing Machine variation.

15.  In other words, it navigates blindly, so to speak on blind auto-pilot, as do all its emerged after-effects, namely the created world. That all emerged systems navigate blindly was clearly understood by the ancient Indians, viz. the archaic story: ‘The blind men and the elephant.’

16.  i.e. as impermanent side-effect events/affects responding as it were as PAN’s tangible or communicable skin, i.e. its real-time everyday manifestations.

17.  .i.e. because ‘Only random events carry instruction,’ i.e. the capacity to affect @c and so make real.

18.  i.e. momentary (hence absolutely real) as bit and transient (hence unreal) as string (or bite, hence as analogue) of bit moments.

19.  i.e. contact, i.e. mutual instruction or strike.

20.  The notion of ‘person’ (from Latin: persona, meaning mask ≈ characteristic ≈ identity) was invented by Roman lawyers. Later Christian henotheists superimposed the ‘quality’ of personhood upon their triple God to make the latter more human-like or so human friendly.

21.  In other words, PAN’s (i.e. G.O.D.’s) most advanced emergent state (or mode), as observed by the human, is currently the human, as are the human’s allegedly finer, i.e. more humane qualities/virtues. These disappear quickly if and when the human’s survival is threatened and when she needs to revert to an earlier (less human) emergent form with a more basic survival thrust, as happens during crises of all kinds such as sickness, war and so on.

22.  In short, the human is the best/most perfect self-representation (or selfie) PAN/G.O.D. could emerge (i.e. bootstrap) to date given the dodgy and unpredictable circumstances of automatic (possibly pressurised) differential re-combination and so elaboration (elsewhere called mutation) and of trial by mortal combat, i.e. of de-selection.

23.  Since the (original and originating quantum of) basic operating system (of rules) of ordering is originally incomplete (because singular, thus unprovable, hence merely virtual), hence a failure at original perfection (i.e. achieved by completion), it transmits its incompleteness (or original failure ≈ original sin) to all its identical off-spring/copies. Consequently its emergents, as local ordering niches, operate as fundamentally (i.e. originally) incomplete and driven by the need, copied from the basic operating system, i.e. G.O.D., to achieve completion, meaning actual self-manifestation. PAN, i.e. G.O.D. alone, therefore incomplete, ‘waits’ (i.e. as virtual unit, hence ass merely potential) to respond to disorder by ordering it. G.O.D.s original incompleteness defines ITS original failure ≈ original (thus mortal) sin. Non-compliance with the basic or elaborated operating system grounding the current niche (or app) operating system defines emerged (or venal) sin (i.e. failure). All emerged identifiable realities operate with original sin/failure (to complete), the more complex being driven to redemption (and righteousness) by means of self-completion. St Augustin got the notion of Original Sin right, but its source wrong. Adam’s alleged disobedience, i.e. his non-compliance with the given order (and which was, after all, just a health warning, was merely venal. G.O.D.s (i.e. the basic ordering device’s) incompleteness was mortal failure/sin and which is redeemed by achieving completion via an identifiable reality.

24.  Sensing wholly (wholeness being absolutely, because wholly convincing/true, thus compelling) happens by flooding the brain (i.e. the blind auto-pilot operating as reality simulation device) with one selected datum, actual (i.e. real) or virtual (i.e. imagined or phantasized), be that the sense of ‘being’ (and which becomes universal being when the brain is flooded @100%) or of ‘consciousness’ (and which becomes universal consciousness when the brain is flooded @100%) or of presence (and which emerges as universal presence) and so on. The Hinayana Buddhist Kasina meditation technique trains in the flooding process.

25.  The Pantheist attitude cannot but be non-judgemental in that all creation is God and therefore perfect in itself as it is. In this regard see Baruch Spinoza and Voltaire.

26.  With joy/happiness if she takes the (PAN as) predator, i.e. the winner position, or horror, sorrow/unhappiness (Pali: dukkha) if she empathises with the fate of the (PAN as) prey, i.e. the loser in the trial (meaning selection) by mortal combat and which is one basic defence, and therefore self-selection operation of PAN.

27.  All ordering, thus selection, is violent, i.e. without pity or mercy. The qualities of pity and mercy, absent in the basic ordering device, i.e. G.O.D./PAN, emerge the (or some) human.

28.  i.e. as identical PAN copy, clone or fractal elaboration.Note the use of ‘pan’ writ small (and standing for every identifiable reality) and ‘PAN’ writ large (and standing for the basic operating system of rules that emerges all identifiable realities). A similar development can be observed in the later Upanishads when the ATMAN, wrongly translated into English as the SELF, is differentiated as local, i.e. inner atman (i.e. the localised basic operating system clone) and Supreme ATMAN (or universal or non-local basic operating system or matrix), in modern translation writ as self (more accurately described as selfie) and SELF.
