Pantheism, the distributed network view of creation

If and when a human observes in herself and a myriad other life forms the natural process of self-development to maturation followed by decline, death and dissolution, her first response may be to try to understand the natural processes of life, then to accept and thereafter to upgrade her natural self-development process.

As she observes the big data that constitutes her world and begins to compress that data into useful bites, she realises that she is continually emerging as but one-of-a-zillion transient and highly localised applications of one and the same basic, automatic and blind operating system that generates order from disorder. Indeed, she realises that she serves as just one temporary node (or niche) of a vast distributed ordering network.

Her birth, life and death emerge as just one-of-a-zillion necessary means by which that basic ordering (i.e. creation) operating system applies and so elaborates Itself, thereby ‘accidentally’ manifesting ITs virtual, i.e. unreal, unidentifiable and unpredictable creation potential as actual, i.e. real and identifiable hardware.

Observing the distributed ordering network from the perspective of herself as one of its nodes/niches, she realises that she is, ‘warts and all,’ the virtual, non-local, basic ordering operating system ≈ Pan ≈ G.O.D. come actually and true and real in/as her node/niche. And that, consequently, she, as locally elaborated application of that basic ordering operating system, is not fundamentally different from IT. And, moreover, by simply being alive she functions as a special because unique bit of the whole creation operation which could not have emerged the way it has without her.

The discretely observing and ruthlessly abstracting pantheist arrives at the inference that ‘The All is God’, specifically that ‘Nature is God application’. Hence she believes that nature ≈ all (i.e. G.O.D.) happens as distributed network of momentary G.O.D. applications and that those applications, as nodes, serve to generate ever more complex order systems whose emergent side-effects transmit ever more novel messages.

Pantheism, the distributed network view of creation

If and when a human observes1 in herself and a myriad other life forms the natural2 process3 of self-development to maturation followed by decline, death and dissolution, her first response may be to try to understand the natural processes of life,4 then to accept5 and thereafter to upgrade6 her natural self-development process.

As she observes the big data that constitutes her world and begins to compress that data into useful bites, she realises that she is continually emerging as but one-of-a-zillion7 transient and highly localised applications of one and the same basic, automatic and blind operating system that generates order from disorder.8 Indeed, she realises that she serves as just one temporary node (or niche) of a vast distributed ordering network.9,10

Her birth, life and death emerge as just one-of-a-zillion necessary means by which that basic ordering (i.e. creation) operating system11 applies and so elaborates ITself,12 thereby ‘accidentally’ manifesting ITs13 virtual, i.e. unreal, unidentifiable and unpredictable creation potential as actual, i.e. real and identifiable hardware.14

Observing the distributed ordering network from the perspective of herself as one of its nodes/niches, she realises that she is, ‘warts and all,’15 the virtual, non-local, basic ordering operating system ≈ Pan ≈ G.O.D. come actually and true and real in/as her node/niche.16 And that, consequently, she, as locally elaborated application of that basic ordering operating system, is not fundamentally different from IT.17 And, moreover, by simply being alive18 she functions as a special because unique bit of the whole creation operation19 which could not have emerged the way it has without her.20

The discretely observing and ruthlessly abstracting pantheist arrives at the inference21 that ‘The All is God’, specifically that ‘Nature is God application’. Hence she believes that nature ≈ all (i.e. G.O.D.) happens as distributed network of momentary G.O.D. applications22 and that those applications, as nodes,23 serve to generate ever more complex order systems whose emergent side-effects transmit ever more novel messages.

1.     All observations happen as observer related inferences, that is to say, as conclusions abstracted from big data analyses. Therefore all observations emerge as personal niche (or species niche related) opinions.

2.     The word natural was invented by the Romans (formerly the Latini). It was derived from the word natura ‘birth, nature, quality,’ from nat-‘born,’ from verb nasci. Hence nature is taken to mean either: ‘whatever (or all that) is born’, to wit, ‘that which exists’; or, ‘a quality or propensity present at birth.’

3.     i.e. as emergence

4.     And when she emerges either as natural philosopher or as scientist of the nature. Since the pantheist believes nature to be G.O.D., then every scientist emerges first as a seeker of G.O.D. and then as G.O.D. worshiper, i.e. as local enactor of G.O.D. as general ordering device (or algorithm).

5.     And welcoming rather than resisting the fact of termination and suffering the horrors of natural decline and actual death. She accepts death willingly and gracefully because she understands it to be natural (i.e. G.O.D. determined) process. And because she realises that she was but one momentary means (of zillions) that served the god PAN’s, i.e. nature’s, end, namely survival/continuance by means of enhanced complexity presenting locally as self-manifestation and self-realisation.

6.     For ‘upgrading’ read: cultivating towards increased survival capacity. In short, she superimposes culture on nature to enhance her quality of life in particular (≈ natura naturata) and nature ≈ G.O.D. (natura naturans) in general.

7.     The fuzzy notion of ‘zillion’, suggesting an ‘infinite’ number, is used to indicate that species other than the human are included in the overall understanding.

8.     In other words, she emerges as more complex, blind (biological) automaton (hence as Universal Turing Machine) generated (by millions) of less complex blind (biological) automatons generated by millions of  blind non-biological automatons all operating as differential iterations (or fractal elaborations) of one basic, blind set or template of universal constraints or rules, the basic operating system of creation ≈ G.O.D. ≈ nature.

9.     The notion of the universe (i.e. of this and all worlds) as manifestation of a distributed network was first proposed in ancient India. The distributed network was called Indra’s Net.

10.      Each node/niche occupant (i.e. you or me, or the fly or the soccer player) strives to survive by increasing local order, thereby increasing overall order. By striving/enacting @ maximum to increase local order the node/niche occupant is fully compliant/obedient with the rules of the basic order generating operating system ≈ G.O.D. ≈ nature, hence ‘good.’ @ maximum striving to comply with local order, thus complying with basic order is the pantheist’s worship. Performing either ritual or caste order to perfection, i.e. @100% was, in essence, the Vedic view of ‘worship.’ Strangely, the Upanishad’s view of moksha, i.e. as release from samsara (hence from the personal enactment of the saguna Brahman, ended the fundamentally correct Vedic view, to India’s detriment.

11.      i.e. Nature ≈ G.O.D. ≈ the ALL ≈ (Greek) to pan, i.e. the basic ordering (i.e. as reduction of entropy towards zero hence increase to maximum communication/work/continuance output) template.

12.      The notion of self-activation, self-elaboration, self-regulation and self-adaptation, hence of living systems as blind  complexity generating automatons, and the generation of sophisticated (lastly human) emergent effects is first put forward in a clearly understandable speculation in the Brihadaranayaka Upanishad (ca. 800BC).

13.      PAN, the creative (or growth) automaton as creation algorithm is here understood as an IT. The cultural, meaning human designed (i.e. of survival necessity in their own image as super-humans) Gods of the 2nd and 3rd phases of life are anthropomorphised as either female or male. Personalising IT, i.e. the basic (or a local) survival template, makes the IT user friendly and so easier to install and enforce.

14.      For ‘hardware’ read: having the capacity to communicate (quantally) by contact in a relativity vacuum and thereby to make momentarily real and true. In a relativity vacuum contact happens at the rate of c2, hence as absolutely real = true.

15.      ‘Warts and all’ means: as is, i.e. with all strengths and weaknesses. The notion that a local ordering node/niche, for instances a human, should represent only a benign selection of desirable traits of an ordering template, i.e. of a personalised God such as Adonai or Allah)), is naïve, infantile. Ordering (thus creation of complexity nodes) is a blind operation and all ‘traits’ serve the survival imperative.

16.      That is to say, she serves to upgrade local order to increased complexity or communication efficiency, thereby enhancing its survival capability.

17.      This insight represents the ancient Upanishad view that Atman ≈ Brahman or that tat tvam asi (i.e. ‘That thou art.’)

18.      i.e. ‘alive’ because she has survived the selection process of (a culturally softened) trial by mortal, i.e. (social) survival combat. Since she is still ‘alive’ she represents the best (survival option), the less than best (i.e. fittest) already having been eliminated. So it is that the world that exists right now consists only of the best, i.e. the fittest, thus momentarily perfect.

19.      As localised PAN ≈ Nature ≈ G.O.D  application (or elaboration) a complete human, ‘warts and all’, is the best the PAN ≈ Nature basic operating system could do under the particular circumstances of that human’s niche (performance). In other words, each human manifests a best-under-given-circumstances (hence perfect, because done) try of PAN to ‘presence’ its creative (ordering) potential. Since ‘best’ (i.e. perfect) is relative, Pan generates as many human self-representations as possible and sets them to compete with each other (as in trial by just less than mortal combat) so that the competition winner, i.e. the survivor, has selected herself as the best of the best and who then takes (i.e. mutates) her (or his), and therefore PAN’s creative (ordering) endeavour forward, meaning to greater complexity or survival efficiency and new (albeit unpredictable) emergent effects.

20.      She, as blind clone/copy (or fractal elaboration, hence as local pan) automaton of the universal PAN automaton, operates as an integral part of the whole (i.e. of the ‘all’) selection and complexity upgrading process. In short, the universe is the way it is (hence real and true) at this moment because she is the way she is, ‘warts and all’ at this moment.

21.      In truth, an inference serves as placebo, i.e. as comforting fable.

22.      Each human, indeed each organic and non-organic phenomenon, from atom via hadron via biological compound via galaxy to the universe, happens as automatic PAN manifestation, indeed as a communicable quantum or unit of PAN.

23.      i.e. of younger humans, meaning those at an earlier development stage actively striving for, i.e. being driven to greater survival flexibility resulting in greater complexity and so furthering PAN’s (i.e. the All’s) blind drive (possibly bring driven) to survival/continuance.
